We’re so excited for you!

Water baptism is a  public profession of your faith. John The Baptist, baptized with water but he talked about Jesus, "…I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worth to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." Luke 3:16. When Jesus was Baptized in the water, in the river of Jordan, the Holy Spirit came down as the heavens opened, rested and remained upon Jesus, and a voice from heaven came from heaven, saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Matthew 3:17

There’s more than just a public profession in front of friends and family. Water represents the grave, you go down in the flesh, but when you come up, you come up in new life, in Christ Jesus (Rom. 6:14, Gal. 2:20) When you go down in the water there is also an invitation for the Holy Spirit to come rest upon you and remain there. You may be baptized by man with water, but it is Jesus who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire, if you open yourself up to Him.

What has happened to you leading up to this moment is not the end. Baptism is not the end, but you will continue your walk with God in the power of the Holy Ghost. Celebrate this as your public confession of repentance from sin and a new found life in Jesus Christ. Invite the Holy Spirit to do an amazing work in your life.
